Near my pine cabin at the Cradle Mountain Lodge (in Cradle Valley), there were many native animals including the Wallaby above, which is part of the Kangaroo family. On my way back to my cabin room, while I was walking the wooden plank (a shortcut to the room), the Tasmanian Devil at the left came galloping towards me. One of the rather interesting local accommodations was the Pennyroyal
Inn in Launceston. It was really "done-up" in traditional
style. The main reception building was heavily covered with Parthenocissus
quinquefolia. Within the complex, there was a pond with hardy
water lilies growing. > |
